Apprenticeship Mentorship Program

Our program is here to provide accountability to both the you as the apprentice and the preceptor, help you navigate through the many avenues and emotions of this world, provide discipleship and community along the way and to help you manage expectation, paperwork, and finish well without trauma or burn-out and be ready to step into your calling as a healthy and happy young midwife.

One of the most complicated matters you will face when becoming an out-of-hospital (OOH) midwife is navigating the apprenticeship.

Your apprenticeship years are foundational for who you will become as a midwife and we want to help you learn, not only how to care for women, but also how to care for yourself.

Our program will:

01

Help connect you to vetted preceptors who have successfully helped midwifery students become competent, confident, healthy midwives

02

walk with you through the knee deep levels of paperwork

03

help you navigate the phases of NARM PEP process

04

provide a second skills sign off opportunity

05

provide study material to prepare you for the NARM exam

06

gives you access to our pastoral care team
and one-on-one access to an apprenticeship mentor.

07

provide you a step-by-step mentorship manual

Answers to Our Most Common Questions

Not currently. Our students complete certification through the NARM PEP process. Most, but not all, states who recognize the CPM credential will accept the PEP process.

While we do recommend completing your academic program alongside the apprenticeship, we often have students who complete the academic portion prior to apprenticeship.
